How does the formula work?

The StockScore formula combines a P/E-based rank and an ROA-based rank (sometimes labelled the value-factor and quality-factor components) into a single combined rank for every eligible company. The same calculation and weightings are applied to every company in the eligible universe, with no manual override.

What does a higher score mean?

A higher score means that a company more closely matches the criteria and weightings in the current StockScore formula at the time it was calculated. It does not mean the company has been assessed as a stronger choice, that its shares are priced below their underlying worth, that it is expected to perform better than other companies in future, or that it has been assessed against your personal circumstances or objectives.

What is a formula position?

Formula position is the mathematical position of a company after the StockScore formula has been applied to the eligible comparison universe. For example, a position of 7 of 512 means the company had the seventh-highest combined rank at that calculation time. It is not financial advice and does not indicate that any action should be taken.

What is the difference between Daily and Historical Formula Results?

Daily Formula Results show the latest calculation. Historical Formula Results show how a company's formula result and position have changed over time as the underlying data has changed.

No. Formula results are based on available company and market data. They do not predict future prices, returns or business performance.

Company and market data is sourced from the Finviz screener as a data provider only - see our Methodology page for the exact source mapping. How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancelling stops future renewal, but you keep access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for - cancelling does not immediately revoke access or issue a refund for the current period.

Card payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. StockScore does not store your full card number - Stripe handles card data directly under its own security and compliance obligations.

Connections to StockScore are encrypted (HTTPS), sign-in and authentication are handled by Amazon Cognito, and we do not store your password directly. We share the minimum data necessary with service providers who help us run the Service, such as our payment processor (Stripe) and our analytics provider, each under their own privacy and security commitments. Your personal data is not sold to third parties.
